Outfit of the Day

Okay so I didn't exactly wear these sandals out because I just bought them from Primark! I just tried them on and took these pictures :) They're surprisingly comfortable and only cost £4! I got another pair of sandals - gold flip flops but they're sooo painful! Probably because they cost £2 :P So I'll only be wearing them on days when I don't really need to walk around. I'd been looking for a nice pair of medium brown sandals for a while now so these Primark ones are perfect :)

Top (comes with belt): Primark
Leggings: H&M

Cheap and chic! xx

Not bad for a first attempt! :)

Yesterday's Outfit and Today's Natural Face

Yesterday, I wore my new Evisu top, with a plain grey tank top underneath, since the back and front are both quite open. On the bottom I wore my regular Uniqlo 'jeggings'.

For today's make-up, I opted for something more natural. For my eyes, I only used black eyeshadow to line my eyes, and black mascara. On my cheeks I only have NARS Cactus Flower cream blush, blended out quite a bit, and on my lips I initially had Revlon Coral Reef lip gloss to add a pop of colour, but after that wore off, I applied MAC Blankety lipstick and now I'm sporting YSL Golden Gloss 13 (which is what you see in the pictures below)!

What do you guys think of this more natural look? Should I do this more or stick to my more made-up looks? xx

Barry M: 3-for-2 at Boots

Boots is still doing their 3 for 2 offer on selected make-up brands, including Barry M. I jumped at the opportunity and picked up 2 nail paints and my first ever Barry M lip paint!

Pure Turquoise Nail Paint and Block Orange Nail Paint

Lip Paint in 129 Lavender

Sorry about the scary close-up!

The nail paints cost £2.95 and the lip paints cost £4.95. I got one of the nail paints for free because of the offer, so I got all three items for under £7. Bargain!

What are your favourite products from Barry M? Do you have the Lavender Lip Paint, and if so, do you love it? x

UPDATE: Omg I completely forgot I was supposed to be on a spending ban, that I just put myself on a couple hours before I stupidly went into Boots and bought those Barry M goodies! Okay the spending ban officially starts tomorrow... shame on me! Don't follow my example lol x

Spending Ban

I have decided to put myself on a spending ban until the 1st of July. I have been overspending recently and that needs to change! From now on, I will only be purchasing products I run out of, such as mascara, eyeliner, foundation, hair products and body lotions. A lot of people do project 10 pan, but I feel that it's inappropriate for me, seeing as I have a relatively limited amount of make-up and it takes me forever to run out of make-up products! Feel free to join me if you feel the need to, and wish me luck! x

Gazette Grey

Today's eye was a daytime smokey eye, using my newly acquired Gazette Grey eyeshadow from MAC's Pret-a-papier collection. At first I had it as a simple wash of colour all over the lid, but the grey was darker than expected for a daytime look, so I lightened up the inner halves with All That Glitters layered on top. It turned out beautifully! It really added some dimension to the predominantly matte grey eyeshadow. Unfortunately the photos don't pick up how bold the grey actually is. Imagine it a shade darker!

Eyes: MAC Gazette Grey & All That Glitters; The Body Shop's Amethyst eye definer under the lower lash line (for that slept-in look)
Cheeks: Illamasqua Lover blush
Lips: MAC Blankety lipstick

Hope you're all out enjoying the awesome weather! xx

Greenwich Maritime/ Greenwich Village!

Today my boyfriend and I went to Greenwich Maritine, in South-East London, to enjoy the sunny weather! We went to his university, Greenwich Market and Greenwich Park. After that we went back to his house because his family was hosting a BBQ with his relatives. I had a thoroughly enjoyable day :)

Walking to the university

Food stalls at Greenwich Market

Really weird hippy colour therapy shop... The shop assistant was talking about healing and protective colours... I got out of there really fast.

View from the top of the hill at Greenwich Park. The hike to the top was tiring!

Outfit of the Day: Pull and Bear t-shirt, River Island denim shorts.

I like the back of these shorts, but I look like I have a wedgie here!

MAC Pret-a-Papier

I went to the MAC Pro store today and picked up two things from the Pret-a-Papier collection - an eyeshadow and a mineralised blush.

Gazette Grey eyeshadow (velvet)

Gazette Grey is a medium grey tone with green and gold shimmer. The shimmer is absolutely gorgeous! It's a velvet finish so it's very soft. I picked this up because Dara from YouTube (BelleDuJourNYC) recommended it.

You can't really see the shimmer here, but believe me, it's beautiful!

Light Over Dark mineralised blush (repromote from the Grand Duos collection)

The lighter side is a cream with copper and bronze veining. The dark side is a reddish brown. The powder is very finely milled and not as shimmery as most MSFs, which in my opinion is a good thing! It gives a really nice glow once applied onto the face.

From left to right: both colours swirled together; lighter side; darker side.

I love this blush. I never even thought about getting it until I saw it in store in person. It's so gorgeous! Check it out next time you go to a MAC store :)

I'm very happy with my purchases! On a side note, I can't believe how hot it is in London today! Just walking around makes me go all sweaty and gross.... haha, lovely xx

Summer

I have missed you, but the uncertainty you bring also worries me.

Bronze Face of the Day & Nail of the Day

Today I painted my nails with 17's Toasted Almond. It's a lovely light brown/champagne metallic colour, and isn't very shiny so gives that brushed metal effect. It's very high quality for such an affordable nail polish (probably £2!), and lasts a good amount of time. It's part of 17's Lasting Fix line, which promises to stay chip resistant for up to 5 days.

My make-up was inspired by this nail colour, and I went with a bronze look.

Eyes: MAC All That Glitters all over the lid, with MAC Woodwinked blended into the crease. Benefit's Eye Bright as a brow highlight. Rimmel soft kohl kajal eyeliner in black, MAC Carbon eyeshadow to set, and Max Factor Masterpiece Max mascara in black.

Face: Prestige Sun-baked Mineral Bronzer in Rich Bronze on my cheeks, temples, forehead, nose and chin. MAC Rhapsody In Two mineral blush as highlight.

Lips: Maybelline Colour Sensational lipstick in Crispy Cookie.

Definitely a very summer-appropriate look, that will look great with a tan! xx

What Makes Me Happy

Louise over at GetLippie (http://getlippie.blogspot.com/) is hosting a birthday giveaway next month, and to enter, we have to write about what makes us happy... so here goes!

1. Youtube - Ever since I discovered the beauty community on Youtube last summer, I've been hooked! I watch beauty gurus everyday without fail, unless I'm on vacation, and I find that it gives me something to look forward to when I have no plans for the day, as sad as that sounds! I have since started my own beauty channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/shampoop118) and I thoroughly enjoy making videos.

2. Blogs - I also discovered the wonder of blogs last summer, and have been reading them ever since. I recently started my own (i.e. this one haha), and am really enjoying it! It has been great to feel part of the blogging community rather than just an outsider reader, and I have met some lovely people along the way :)

3. My boyfriend - enough said!

4. The warmer weather - I got so sick of my winter clothes, and I'm so glad I can finally wear t-shirts, tank tops and sandals again!

Thank you Louise for having such a wonderful giveaway with such generous prizes! xx

7 Month Anniversary Dinner & Canary Wharf

Just thought I would share some photos with you guys from my dinner last night at Abeno for Okonomiyaki (a Japanese dish) and today's trip to Canary Wharf for a spot of shopping!

My boyfriend being awkward and camera shy lol.

The adorable menu at Abeno! That's kinnndaa what Okonomiyaki looks like haha.

Today's outfit of the day: Evisu jacket from their new A/W '10 collection, designed by Catherine Holstein; River Island top; H&M leggings; Topshop ballet flats; Michael Kors bag.

Evisu's A/W '10 collection is amazing. It's their first collection featuring nice women's wear! They're usually known for their mens wear (and obviously their denim/ jeans). They are really revamping the brand. Here's a sneak peak of some other pieces Catherine Holstein has designed for this upcoming collection:

That's my jacket!

My boyfriend also got me the checked shirt underneath :) It's cropped at the back which is pretty unique.

My hair style for today was inspired by Dara (BelleDuJourNYC on YouTube). She has amazing beachy waves and sometimes she clips her hair back with a centre parting. I tried it out for the first time today and quite liked it!

My boyfriend's outfit of the day! Haha: everything Evisu, apart from the Nike shoes I got him!

Being vain in the lift haha.

At Canary Wharf.

Me with the flowers my boyfriend got me! :)

Hope you're all having a fab week xx
